The customer's problem
The owner was down to one smart key and the dealer quoted a long wait for a replacement.
What was causing it
This BMW stores key data in its security module. Adding a key safely means reading that data first, then coding the new key to it.
How we fixed the BMW M4
We backed up the module data, read the key information and programmed a new smart key with Comfort Access, then tested keyless entry, start and the remote functions.
How it turned out
Two working keys, all functions tested, done at the car the same day.
